I provide competitive rates for quality work. The rates are negotiable depending on the timeframe and project requirements.
Note: If you require a fast turnaround time, I charge additional for this service. My standard turnaround time is three days for a document that is 7,500 words. If you wish the document completed in two days, I charge 25% more than my standard rate. If you require next day service, my rate is 50% more than the standard rate.
I provide special rates: for large projects (over 100 pages); for repeat clients; and, for businesses, universities, research institutes, government agencies, and organizations.
You send me your material as a Microsoft Word document for editing or proofreading. I will quickly read sections of the document to determine the cost.
I will contact you and inform you of the service required and provide you with a cost estimate.
If you decide to use my service, I will edit your document using the Microsoft Word track changes feature. This is a standard feature installed in current versions of Microsoft Word. This Microsoft component allows you to quickly accept all changes proposed by me, read my comments regarding changes, and move easily between corrections.
All documents go through a two-step process: initially, I will edit the work, making comments and suggestions, and then, I will do a final proofreading of your document. I will return the edited version via email within the agreed upon time.
It is important that you, as the author, communicate your editorial wishes to me throughout the editorial process. When I have questions regarding your work, I will communicate with you by email so that there is continual communication occurring.
I use the 15th and 16th editions of the Chicago Manual of Style (CMS) for all corrections. If you prefer an alternative style to be used, please indicate this to me. Many research institutes have their own style guides that must be used. Again, if this is the case with your submission, please indicate this to me and provide me with a copy of the institute’s style guide and any other pertinent information.
